In a discussion with a prospective buyer about what she was looking for in her next home, the buyer told me that she wanted to have a Tewksbury mailing address when she moved to New Jersey.  I am so proud of my “can-do” attitude, but for this request, I had to break the news to her that this wasn’t something that we were going to be able to do for her.
There IS no such thing as a “Tewksbury” mailing address in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.  Of course, there are a lot of wonderful homes located in Tewksbury Township, NJ which are serviced by the excellent Tewksbury, NJ schools (including the blue-ribbon-awarded Tewksbury Elementary School).  Tewksbury, NJ properties have mailing addresses that match the names of the post offices responsible for mail delivery, e.g., Califon (07830), Lebanon (08833).  Alternatively, some homeowners in Tewksbury choose not to have home delivery of their mail and get their mail delivered to post office boxes in Oldwick (08858) or Pottersville (07979).  Sometimes internet sites with real estate information don’t make these distinctions in locating available or recently-sold properties, so if you have questions about local real estate, contact us at Leaf, Realtors and we’d be happy to give you a local perspective on what’s available or what a property is worth under current market conditions…not to mention where it’s really located and who delivers the mail.
