Incorporated in 1798, Washington Township is brimming with history. Some accounts believe Schooley’s Mountain, an unincorporated section of Washington Township, to have been America’s earliest summer resort. In addition to the Schooley’s Mountain section, other unincorporated sections of Washington Township include Long Valley, Bartley, Bettystown, Crestmoore, Drakestown, Fairmount, Four Bridges, German Valley, Lake George, Middle Valley, Naughright, Parker, Pleasant Grove, Pottersville, Scrappy Corner, Springtown and Stephensburg.

There’s no shortage of activities here!
